School District
No. 22 is hiring a District Indigenous Support Worker for the Seaton Family of Schools. This 10-month, part time position assists Indigenous students in various subjects while promoting cultural awareness. Collaborating with teachers, you'll develop teaching materials, provide one-on-one support, and help foster a positive learning environment. Key Responsibilities:
Support Indigenous students in all curriculum areas
Assist teachers with specialized teaching aids
Develop and implement Indigenous cultural programs
Accompany students on field trips when needed
Encourage positive self-image and academic engagement Requirements:
Six months of relevant training or education assistant certificate
Experience working with Indigenous youth
Knowledge of local Indigenous community values
Familiar with current educational technology
Robust interpersonal and communication skills Make a meaningful impact on the lives of Indigenous students in Vernon as an Indigenous Support Worker.
