Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Manager to lead our mechanical construction projects from inception to completion. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. Your expertise will drive project success while fostering strong client relationships and maintaining effective workflows across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

- Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical construction projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Bluebeam for project documentation, tracking progress, and collaboration.
- Develop accurate construction estimates using heavyBid or similar estimating tools to support project budgeting.
- Coordinate with design teams to review schematics and technical specifications for accuracy and feasibility.




- Manage procurement activities by preparing purchase orders and tracking materials using Primavera P6 or Civil 3D for scheduling and resource allocation.
- Lead safety meetings, enforce safety protocols on-site, and promote a culture of safe production throughout all project phases.
- Monitor project timelines with effective time management strategies to meet deadlines without compromising quality.

Experience

- 3-5+ Years of Project Management Experience in the Mechanical field
- Preferred candidate has one or more of: Red Seal Endorsed, Project Management Professional, Certified Engineering Technologist, or Professional Engineer.
- Proven experience in construction management with a focus on mechanical systems within commercial or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation related to mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Trimble, etc.
- Demonstrated ability in construction estimating and project budgeting processes.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Solid understanding of construction safety standards and practices in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction experience involving HVAC systems, fire protection systems, building automation or related mechanical disciplines is highly desirable.
