Join Nishnawbe-Aski Legal Services Corporation as a full time Restorative Justice By-Law Worker in Thunder Bay, ON. This role focuses on facilitating justice circles and empowering communities through restorative practices. As part of the Restorative Justice Initiative funded by the Ministry of the Attorney General, you will be responsible for implementing and reporting on justice restoration within targeted communities.
Your experience with NAN and robust communication skills will help you educate others about by-law enforcement and restorative justice techniques. Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate circles addressing by-law infractions in communities
Report on the initiative's effectiveness and progress
Provide educational sessions on restorative justice
Ensure confidentiality and manage sensitive community information
Support community-based initiatives relating to justice Requirements:
Secondary school diploma with applicable experience
Solid understanding of Aboriginal issues
Familiarity with by-laws and restorative justice methods
Excellent communication abilities, both oral and written
