Become a vital part of Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre's mission as a Supportive Housing Intensive Case Manager in Halifax, NS. This full time position is dedicated to supporting Indigenous individuals in achieving and maintaining housing security. In this impactful role, you will manage cases for families navigating complex barriers to housing.
The Supportive Housing Intensive Case
Manager will utilize an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed approach, ensuring that clients receive personalized support.
Your responsibilities will encompass resource navigation, individualized planning, and direct advocacy, all while working alongside a skilled housing team committed to effective service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
Support clients in developing actionable case plans
Ensure the delivery aligns with MNFC’s mission and values
Build connections with community resources and landlords
Maintain client confidentiality and comprehensive case records
Participate in agency-wide meetings and ongoing training Requirements:
Certification in community social services or similar
At least two years of relevant experience in housing services
In-depth knowledge of Indigenous issues related to homelessness
Proven communication and advocacy skills
Ability to provide a current driver’s license and insurance Make a lasting impact by helping Indigenous family and individuals navigate their housing journeys with care and commitment.
