Baker/Breakfast Cook - Northern Manitoba Remote Camp OperationsFull-timeCompensation: from CAD 23.89 hourlyWORK SCHEDULE AND REMUNERATION:Baker/Breakfast Cooks work on a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on / 1 week off. Site locations are in remote settings, requiring either air travel to site or via ground on our shuttle. You may be required to work nights, weekdays, weekends, and general holidays. Wages are paid on an hourly basis with a starting rate of $23.89 per hour.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Preparing and baking goods from scratchRestocking pastry shelves and maintaining a sufficient and fresh supply of baked goodsCreating and following menus to ensure quality of baked goods and dessertsWrapping and dating all baked goods in accordance with production scheduleEnsuring consistent quality standard in overall food preparation as per clients’ requirements including consideration to special dietary constraintsEnsuring proper equipment operation, safety and sanitation in the kitchenComplying with food hygiene regulations in accordance with Food Safety ActSupervising night shift employees; providing mentorship and trainingWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?Previous cooking experience is requiredMust have a current Food Safe certificateLarge scale camp cooking experience is an assetRed Seal or other certifications is an assetExperience in accurately producing weekly inventories is an assetPrevious experience in supervising a team is preferredHigh standards in maintaining a clean and organized KitchenMust have the ability to complete a Criminal Background CheckMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testingBe able to handle the following physical demands:Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbsClimb ladders or stairsStand, walk, squat, kneel or sit according to task for extended lengths of timePerform repetitive hand work requiring full use of both handsPerform work with arms at full lengthWork with arms above shoulder heightWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?Enjoy excellent work-life balance with a 2 week on / 1 week off rotationAbility to expand skills in a large camp atmosphereWhereas other companies are downsizing, we are growing!Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leaderDexterra Group is an equal prospect employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
