The Operations Technician Qualifying

Position (OTQP) provides a hands-on chance to develop your skills in gas system operations and emergency responses. You will be trained to manage customer inquiries, perform maintenance, and implement safety protocols. This career offers the chance for independence and advancement while ensuring public safety in gas distribution. Key Responsibilities:
Service and activate gas appliances for customers
Manage queries and situations requiring prompt corrective action
Conduct leak detection and maintenance on gas lines




Build and install meters and perform piping modifications
Inspect corporate facilities for compliance and safety Requirements:
Grade 12 or an equivalent certification needed
Valid Class 5 driver’s license required for travel
Certification of physical fitness from a doctor
Completion of Pre-Qualifying Assessment required
