The Government of Yukon seeks a full time Training Coordinator to enhance the Indigenous Training Program in Whitehorse. This role is perfect for supporting Indigenous employee development and reconciliation efforts across the community. As the Training Coordinator, you will focus on mentoring Indigenous employees and coordinating training pathways within the Yukon Government.
Building collaborative partnerships and fostering a culturally secure work workplace will be key aspects of your position. Your experience with diverse populations will inform the structure of the program as it evolves. Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead the Indigenous Training Program initiatives
Provide mentorship and support for employee development
Work alongside managers to facilitate training opportunities
Cultivate relationships with Yukon First Nations and community groups
Assess program effectiveness and make necessary improvements Requirements:
Proven experience in mentorship or supervisory roles
Coordination skills for training, employment, or education initiatives
Strong record of building collaborative community relations
Knowledge of Indigenous cultural practices and histories
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Support Indigenous employees' learning journeys while advancing the government's reconciliation goals.
