Successful candidate responsibilities:
Junior High Generalist

The successful candidate must:
have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
have successful Junior High teaching experience
experience and knowledge of best practices in primary education
have classroom practice that is focused on:
a student-centered approach to instruction and teacher-student relationships
effective organization/classroom management
collegial collaboration, literacy and numeracy programming, support and intervention
balanced literacy and guided mathematics framework
Inclusive Education practices, demonstrating a commitment to student achievement through a focus on curriculum-instruction-assessment and the Teaching Quality Standard
the domains of the NGPS Quality Learning Setting (QLE)




facilitating the application of a variety of technologies to support learning for all students
diversity and broadening students' knowledge of First Nation, Metis and Inuit
robust and effective communication with parents and the community
have school practice that is focused on:
working with school administration to support the SAP
a commitment to student achievement and success through the Collaborative Team Meeting (CTM) process
working with school team to enhance staff wellness, and team development and spirit, and
outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Start Date:
Duties will commence on August 25, 2026 or as mutually agreed upon
