Overview The General Labourer helps keep daily site work running safely and smoothly. This role is hands-on and gives you the chance to work with equipment and grow with the company.

You will work mainly with the Site Manager, and at times help with other work led by the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

1. Work Safely

- Follow all company safety rules and procedures
- Always wear the required safety gear
- Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions right away
- Come to work fit and ready for the day
- Take part in safety training when required

1. Daily Work Tasks

- Complete assigned work safely and on time
- Help with general site work such as clean-up, moving materials, and basic maintenance
- Operate equipment you are trained on, such as tractors, ATVs, and Argo units
- Help with outdoor work like cutting wood or clearing brush when needed
- Keep tools and equipment clean and in good condition

1. Equipment & Training

- Learn how to safely use tools and equipment
- Take part in training programs (including Mandatory Surface Miner training modules)
- Ask questions and be open to learning recent things
- Build your skills as the job and site grow

1. Teamwork & Communication

- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Work well with others on the team
- Speak up if you have questions or suggestions
- Be respectful when working with coworkers, suppliers, or customers




- Let your supervisor know ahead of time if you will be late or absent

- Show up on time and ready to work
- Take responsibility for your work

Requirements

- Valid drivers license for the Province of Ontario
- Willing to work outdoors and do physical work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable and dependable
- Comfort around heavy equipment
- Able to follow directions and work as part of a team

Preferred background
- Experience with heavy equipment
- Experience with Farm Equipment strongly preferred
- Chainsaw or forestry experience
- Mechanical skills
- Experience in construction, mining, or agriculture

As the role is primarily onsite, it has a seasonality to it. The Intent is to bring on a full-time member to our team to support site operations and field operation for Agricultural work. During the winter season, hours may be reduced when the site is frozen over.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
