Miramichi Registered Nurse Class A (RNCA) PCN 1750541 Location: Miramichi area (Horizon), _Registered Nurse - Miramichi Area, New Brunswick - Permanent Full Time Competition #: 164417 External Posted: August 17, 2026 Closes: August 30, 2026 at 11:59 pm Atlantic Standard Time Anticipated Start Date: September 4, 2026 Location: 2 West - Medical Unit Job Classification: Registered Nurse Class A (RNCA) Job Classification Type: NBNU Job Type: Permanent Full Time FTE: 1 Schedule: Day, Night, Weekend, Rotation, Subject to change due to operational requirements Language Requirement: English Essential and spoken French (B2.1 / Advanced) Salary: 45.49 to 55.32 per hour (Graduate RNCA - $43.67; Registered Nurse - as per the salary range indicated) JOB PURPOSE Participate in the planning, implementing, and evaluating of total nursing care to meet theindividual needs of patients on the 2 West General Medical Stepdown Unit Horizon Health Network Zone 7 Miramichi in accordance with the vision, values, and mission of Horizon Health Network.

QUALIFICATIONS - Current registration as a practicing member of the College of Nursing of Current Brunswick (CNNB).

- Demonstrates initiative, good judgment and decision making abilities that contribute to positive health outcomes - Must be flexible and adapt easily in a dynamic environment - Demonstrated adherence to legislation and Horizon Health Network Confidentiality Policy to ensure all patient, business,



financial and employee information is accessed on an as need to know basis.
- CPR certification - Certified in IV Therapy in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Patient Safety is a critical aspect of quality healthcare. Successful candidates must be accountable for creating a culture of safety, working as a team, communicating effectively, and responding to adverse events.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Identify patient needs and co-operates with other staff in meeting these needs.

- Administer treatments and medications as ordered by medical staff.
- Observe, record, and evaluate patient’s progress.
- Provide comfortable, orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff - Possesses the knowledge and clinical skills/expertise necessary to provide care and to supervise and instruct others in the care of the acute patients.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all aspects of the work.
- Identifies patient’s needs and develops, revises and uses nurses care plans; assuring maximum nursing care to all patients.
- Willing to accept additional education and training Assumes role of in-charge/link nurse as required.




- Work in other patient care areas as requested by nursing supervisor/manager.
- Obtain within 6 months of employment and maintain thereafter,competencies in the nursing care of patient requiring:
- CVAD Certification - BLS Certification - BCMI - ACLS - Others as become necessary - Willing to participate in related allied duties which may be assigned from time to time as they become necessary to the operation of the hospital.
- Escort patients requiring ambulance transfer to another facility as requested.
- Assists in the development of unit specific objectives, policies and procedures.
- Actively participates in the ongoing enhancement of services and care provided to patients.
