OverviewPermanent Position – HybridFasken is seeking a Manager, Data Analytics to act as a senior analytics leader and business partner within the Data Analytics & Engineering department. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, analytics, and data governance.You will proactively engage with business stakeholders to uncover opportunities, propose meaningful KPIs, deliver insights, and influence decision-making across the firm. This role requires strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the credibility to present to firm leadership while operating within strict governance and ethical constraints.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Partnership & Stakeholder LeadershipAct as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on data, reporting, and analytical insightsLead meetings and conversations with business partners to explain analytical findings, translate data into transparent, actionable insights, and recommend KPIs aligned with firm and practice group objectivesProactively identify opportunities and push insights to stakeholdersBuild strong, trusted relationships across the firm and operate as a strategic advisorAnalytics, Reporting & Insights DeliveryDesign, build, and maintain executive and operational dashboards, standard and ad hoc reports, and alerts/performance monitoring solutionsPrepare and present quarterly and ad hoc reports to senior leadership and firm committeesEnsure analytics solutions are well-documented, scalable, and aligned with firm standardsSupport and guide analysts on analytics best practices and storytellingLead special projectsSupport periodic activities (Year end, Budgets, etc.)Technical & Data ExpertiseDemonstrate strong hands-on experience with Power BI and PowerBI Report Builder (Tableau experience acceptable)Use SQL and/or Python/Data frames to understand data schemas, validate data accuracy, support complex analytical use cases, and understand/edit transformation NotebooksOperate within a data lake or lakehouse environment across multiple data domains and sourcesLeverage Microsoft Copilot to analyze data, optimize queries/scripts,
and build customized data agents to accelerate insight deliveryWork closely with data engineering to ensure analytics solutions are built on reliable, well‑modeled dataProven ability to work with diverse data sources (structured, semi-structured, unstructured)Leverage internal and external data sources to deliver high-value insightsData Integrity, Governance & EthicsMaintain data integrity; ensure insights are accurate, defensible, and well-supported by dataAdhere to governance, confidentiality, and ethical requirements (including ethical walls)Act as an ambassador for responsible and compliant data usageEnsure reports and insights meet standards for accuracy, clarity, and trustworthinessLead data governance initiatives, leveraging third-party tools and external data where appropriateLeadership & Special ProjectsLead complex and high-visibility special projects across the firmCoordinate with data engineering, governance, and technology teams as neededIdentify when additional expertise or capacity is required and call in support appropriatelyInfluence without direct authority through collaboration and credibilityCommunication & CollaborationPresent confidently to firm leadership and senior stakeholdersCommunicate complex analytical concepts in plain, business-friendly languageWork effectively with teams distributed across multiple offices and time zonesFoster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvementWhat Success Looks LikeBusiness stakeholders view analytics as a strategic asset, not just a reporting functionKPIs and insights directly support firm and practice group goalsLeadership trusts analytics outputs due to strong data integrity and governanceAnalytics work is timely, relevant, and consistently delivers valueStrong cross-team collaboration within a remote-first environmentRequired Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in math,
economics, finance, accounting, statistics, engineering, computer science, CPA, MBA, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience5-7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, consulting, or related fieldRelevant professional certifications are an asset (e.G., Microsoft)Strong expertise in Power BI (Tableau acceptable)Advanced proficiency in SQL and/or Python (e.G., Pandas)Experience with data lake or enterprise-scale data platforms (Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, Snowflake, Google Cloud, etc.)Strong understanding of data integrity, validation, and governance principlesExceptional written and verbal communication skillsFrench is an assetKnowledge of the skilled services industry is an assetPay Range$130,000 to $150,000 per annum.
