Become an integral part of Stantec’s environmental team as an Environmental Field Technician in Alberta. This position offers diverse experiences in environmental consulting, directly impacting local communities. Stantec is looking for Environmental Field Technicians to support a major project in Fort McMurray beginning in Q4 2026.

The selected candidates will work in a dynamic workplace focused on field investigations, data collection, and secure project execution. The role entails working on a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off schedule with travel accommodations provided from Calgary or Edmonton. Key Responsibilities:
Execute field investigations and environmental monitoring tasks
Accurately document and manage field data
Assist in drilling, soil sampling,



and testing activities
Communicate with team members and project stakeholders
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and policies Requirements:
Diploma or degree in environmental sciences or related areas
Experience of less than 9 years in relevant fields
Commitment to safety culture and practice
Robust communications skills in field settings
