Become an Environmental Compliance Officer with the Ministry of the Workplace in Kenora. This role emphasizes compliance, technical expertise, and the impact on environmental health. In this permanent position, you will conduct inspections, assess regulatory compliance, and analyze environmental issues.
You'll play a key role in advising on legislation, managing environmental responses, and liaising with diverse stakeholders, ensuring compliance and protective actions are taken as needed. Engage with the community to maintain ecological balance and public health initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
Manage inspections and compliance evaluation efforts
Review and prepare technical reports for diverse sectors
Influence compliance through expert legislation guidance
Recommend corrective and legal actions
Engage with stakeholders for effective communication Requirements:
Valid class G driver’s licence or equivalent
Ability to qualify as a Provincial Officer
Experience in environmental science and compliance
Solid problem-solving and judgement capabilities
Proven communication skills in a regulatory context Your role will directly contribute to protecting Ontario's natural resources and public health.
