Join Asotin County as an experienced Equipment Mechanic, focusing on diverse machinery maintenance and repairs. Work primarily at the County Shop with outdoor service responsibilities. As a critical member of the ER&R; department, you will conduct essential mechanical repairs on a range of county vehicles, including diesel and gasoline models.

Your expertise will involve diagnosing mechanical issues, employing a variety of hand and power tools for effective repairs. You will communicate directly with operators for feedback and to ensure the quality of your work, often in adverse conditions at different sites. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues across various vehicles
Conduct overall maintenance and overhaul tasks
Fabricate parts and modify equipment as needed




Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for effective repairs
Maintain operational standards and quality of repairs Requirements:
Proven four years of mechanical repair experience
Preferred possession of a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License
Required to obtain necessary ASE Certifications
Understanding of mechanical principles and safety practices
