More about us here: https://vimeo.Com/347063684Position SummaryAGDATA is seeking an experienced Sr Product Owner to work closely with product, data science, engineering, and operations teams to extend ourChannel & Marketing Activationproduct line. A major part of this role is ensuring analytics areembedded directly into activation workflows —so data moves fromFoundation → Trust → Insight → Actionand drives decisions, next-best actions, and measurable program outcomes. You are not afraid of ambiguity, dealing with nebulous requirements, and get excited about difficult challenges. You must be able to look at the big picture from both business and technology perspective, possess strong analytical, design, and problem-solving skills. You will work on platforms that power data-driven decision-making for global agriculture and animal health clients and have the opportunity to influence foundational capabilities, modernize data and analytics practices, and operate as a true product owner with end-to-end accountability.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that clearly articulate user intent, business value, and analytical logic/assumptions.Own and prioritize the backlog for continual delivery where delivery means in user’s hands.Partner with stakeholders to define how users can incorporate activation metrics (e.G., program adoption, offer effectiveness, channel performance)
and ensure they are measurable and actionable within product experience.Partner with application engineering to deliver analytics capabilities iteratively and reliably, balancing rigor, usability, performance, and scalability.Work day-to-day with data/analytics engineers and data scientists to develop and evaluate hypotheses, acting as the voice of the user for metrics and insights.Translate analytical complexity into clear, user-friendly product decisions and ensure insights are explainable, defensible, and trusted.Act as a change agent—moving teams from static reporting to embedded, insight-driven experiences—while continuously gathering feedback to refine adoption.Key Focus AreasAnalytics product strategyIdentify opportunities to help our customers identify ways to increase revenue through programs, custom offers, and targeted incentivesTranslate business problems into measurable analytics outcomes and roadmap priorities.Champion experimentation, learning, and iteration in how analytics are delivered and consumed.Embedded analytics in activation workflowsEnsure analytics are embedded directly into activation workflows (program setup, offer targeting, execution, and follow-through), not delivered as disconnected BI artifacts.Advocate for intuitive UX, consistent metric definitions, and clear analytical storytelling so users can understand performance and take action.Design thinkingEnsure analytics are explainable, defensible, and trusted by users.Continuously gather user feedback and usage data to refine insights and improve adoption.Conduct design workshops with users to validate workflows, prototypes, and in-product insights.ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:5–8+ years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership roles.Experience owning analytics,
or insight-driven product capabilities.Experience in data-driven or analytics-heavy application environments.Analytical & technical skillsAnalytical FrameworksCRISP-DMML OpsStrong working knowledge of:SQLPython (including libraries such as Pandas) and/or RData analysis and exploration techniquesFamiliarity with:BI, data discovery and visualization tools (PowerBI, Azure Fabric)Metrics frameworks and KPI designData modeling and transformation conceptsYou do not need to build models, but you must be able to:Engagement with data scientists and analystsUnderstand analytical approaches and constraintsTranslate analytics needs into clear product directionSkills & mindsetCustomer-centric with a passion for turning data into insight and action.Curious, collaborative, and comfortable asking “why” and “what does this tell us?”Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.Able to balance analytical depth with pragmatic product delivery.Agile, adaptable, and comfortable operating in environments with ambiguity and change.CompensationSalary for Canada based individuals: $85,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience. Top-range offers will reflect exceptional qualifications and demonstrated experience.
