Working within the community with individuals, families and groups,



the physiotherapist assesses diagnoses and treats patients in the Community. The physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers with regard to health promotion and physiotherapy treatment. The physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students, and supervision of physiotherapy assistant(s)/rehab assistant(s).The physiotherapist is based at various satellite offices travelling to client’s homes throughout HRM and Hants County. The Physiotherapist is a member of the Community Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy Team at Continuing Care and liaises with Continuing Care, multidisciplinary care teams, and community and service providers.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Graduation from a university with a degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent from a recognized school of PhysiotherapyCurrent registration with the Nova Scotia Physiotherapy RegulatorOne year post graduation employed as a Physiotherapist requiredContinuing education course in area of interest is an assetMaintain current certification in CPREffective communication and interpersonal skillsCommunity experience is preferredValid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required for home/community visitsCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredPlease ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certificationsHoursLong assignment, full-time position; 75 hours biweeklyApproximately a 7-month assignmentCompensation And Benefits$38.43 - $50.98 hourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our advantages package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.Once YoueredThank you for your interest in this position.
