In this integral role, you will support residents by fostering a nurturing setting that respects and celebrates Indigenous cultural practices. Collaborate with the in office team to deliver tailored support and resources, emphasizing both community cohesion and individual empowerment. Your engagement with residents will be crucial for promoting cultural resilience and understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement culturally specific programs and workshops
• Provide crisis intervention and emotional support
• Assist in crafting individualized care and support plans
• Facilitate community activities and outings
• Build connections with Indigenous service providers
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of contemporary Indigenous issues
• Experience with harm reduction practices in urban settings
• Proficiency in crisis management and intervention techniques
• Current CPR and first aid certifications
• Dedication to anti-oppressive practices and equity work
