Join the ESL program as a Teaching Assistant for ESL 160 at the University of Ottawa for the upcoming Fall Semester 2026. Broaden students' English skills through hands-on instructional support. In this role, you will be involved in delivering components of the Teaching, Immersion & English Refinement Program for language refinement and EMI training.

You'll engage directly with students to enhance their speaking and listening abilities and foster their professional communication skills within a team-oriented workplace. The focus on interactive learning will enrich students’ academic experiences. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assist in lesson delivery
Conduct Interactive Language Lab activities
Monitor student engagement during sessions
Facilitate vocabulary and pronunciation practice
Report on class activities and student progress Requirements:
Knowledge of ESL practices and techniques
Background in education or language instruction
Excellent verbal communication in English
Solid interpersonal skills
Must attend in-person classes during assigned times Support English language learning for students at the University of Ottawa this Fall while gaining vital teaching experience.
