FedEx is hiring a part-time Operations Supervisor at their station in St-Alphonse-de-Granby, Quebec. This is a frontline supervisor role that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day-to‑day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handler (CH) staff within the station.

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for leading and guiding employees in proper package handling, routing, and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. The role has oversight for all CH functions, including direction of work activities, employee mentoring, coaching, and training, while ensuring administrative processes are compliant with FXE policies and procedures and government regulations.

Schedule: Evening shift, 1:30 PM – 7:00 PM. Bilingualism (French and English) is required.

Responsibilities

- Lead and direct Cargo Handler staff during daily sort operations
- Ensure proper package handling and routing at all times
- Mentor, coach, and train team members; act as a knowledge resource
- Promote and uphold the FedEx Safety Above All culture
- Identify and recover potential service failures within the sort function
- Ensure compliance with FXE policies, administrative procedures, and government regulations




- Prioritize and delegate tasks in a time-sensitive manner
- Address and resolve workplace conflicts professionally
- Simplify business processes while maintaining quality standards

Required Qualifications

- College degree
- 2 years of FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience, OR 2 years of supervisory experience in a related industry
- Bilingualism in French and English (mandatory for Quebec)
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record (two or fewer violations/accidents in the past 24 months)
- Ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
- Ability to complete and maintain all basic and recurrency training including Dangerous Goods (DG) certification
- Robust organizational, planning, and analytical skills
- Ability to inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team
- Communicates clearly, concisely, and in a timely manner in both French and English

Preferred Qualifications

- EXCEL Leadership Development Stream participation

College degree; 2 years of FedEx sort operations or supervisory experience in a related industry; bilingual in French and English; valid driver's licence with clean record; ability to lift 70 lbs.
