Position SummaryWe are looking for a Civil Technologist for our Calgary, Alberta office. This is an existing vacant position for which we are actively recruiting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Essential Job FunctionsAssist in the preparation of civil designs, drawings, and specifications for hydro, renewables, substations, transmission lines, and industrial structures.Performs work according to established drafting standards, practices and guidelines.Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, and solve problems.Ensure that designs incorporate sustainable and cutting-edge engineering solutions.Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.Work safely at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.Additional duties as required.Required QualificationsDiploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized institution.Minimum of 3+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in consulting and/or energy environment.Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is preferred.Experience with civil engineering design and related disciplines.Detail oriented and ability to remain focused.Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Excellent communication skills,



including technical writing and client interactions.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit or stand as required and remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the workday.Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, including continuous operation of a computer and other standard office equipment such as calculators, copiers, and printers.The majority of work is performed in a professional office setting.Periodic travel may be required and could involve limited exposure to extreme temperatures.
