The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.Aon also offers you a generous incentive earning prospect and a comprehensive benefits package.What the day will look likePrepare and/or review all aspects of Canadian income tax reporting and provision, including current and deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate (ETR) calculations under ASC 740.Coordinate, prepare and/or review direct Canadian income tax compliance, including T2, T5013, NR4, T106, and T1134 filings for all relevant entities.Oversee and assist with surplus calculations (in collaboration with external advisors) and review dividend requests for Canadian entities and foreign affiliates.Liaise with tax authorities, manage responses to audit queries, and support the resolution of tax controversies.Prepare and/or review forecasts of income tax expense and cash taxes,
ensuring alignment with business plans and supporting management reporting.Review monthly tax account reconciliations.Support transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and integration of acquired companies, from a Canadian income tax and tax accounting standpoint.Collaborate with controllers and finance teams in Canada to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.Monitor and assess Canadian tax and accounting legislative developments and advise on potential impacts to Aon’s tax profile and financial documents.How this opportunity is differentBe part of a top‑tier global tax function with direct exposure to senior finance and business leaders across Aon’s Canadian and global operations. Take your career to the next level with exposure to complex Canadian income tax issues.Skills and experience that will lead to successBachelor’s degree in accounting, tax, or related field; CPA designation (Canadaor US) and/or a Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Taxation preferred.3+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, with expertise in ASC 740 and income tax reporting.Knowledge of Canadian corporate income tax rules and compliance requirements.Experience in a public company environment and/or Big 4 (or equivalent) strongly preferred.Proven ability to build positive relationships with tax, finance, and business collaborators.Effective time-management and self-motivation.Ability to manage several priorities.Proven track record of performing in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.Experience with tax compliance and provision software (e.G., IFirm, Taxprep, or similar tools) a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
