Manage end-to-end multi-state (U.and multi-province (Canada) payroll processing, including salaries, hourly wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Oversee payroll changes such as current hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and garnishments, and reconcile payroll to the general ledger to support month-end and year-end close Review and approve payroll journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations, and serve as the primary payroll subject matter expert for Finance, HR, Benefits, and external providers S. federal, state, and local payroll laws and Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations Oversee payroll tax filings and statutory remittances in both countries, along with garnishments, levies, and other statutory deductions Monitor regulatory changes across both countries and coordinate support for payroll audits and regulatory inquiries Manage payroll systems and vendor relationships, including leading system implementations, upgrades, and provider migrations from requirements gathering through post-implementation stabilization Maintain strong internal controls and audit-ready documentation,
