Job Posting: Full time Pharmacy Assistant

Viva Health Pharmacy is hiring an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to step directly into our dispensary workflow. We are a fast-paced, multilingual community pharmacy looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of the job, works with high accuracy during peak volume, and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision as a key member of our tight-knit team.

Position Details

- Type: Full-Time
- Wage: $20.00 – $24.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and skill)

Key Responsibilities

- Handle prescription intake, data entry, processing, and dispensing under the supervising pharmacist.
- Submit and troubleshoot third-party insurance claims independently (including ODB and private plans).
- Prepare compliance packaging (blister packs) and support patient adherence programs.
- Oversee dispensary and OTC inventory: placing orders, receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and monitoring expiry dates.
- Manage pick-ups, drop-offs, refill requests, and delivery schedules.




- Provide patient care and customer service over the phone and at the counter.
- Keep patient files updated and maintain an organized, efficient workflow throughout the day.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 3 years working as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail/community setting.
- Software: Strong, hands-on proficiency with Kroll.
- Billing Knowledge: Solid working familiarity with ODB, private plans, and resolving claim rejections.
- Technical Skills: Direct, hands-on experience with blister/compliance packaging.
- Languages: Fluent English (written and verbal) and fluent spoken Farsi.
- Work Style: High attention to detail, strong sense of accountability, and reliable under busy dispensary conditions.

Strong Assets

- Prior experience managing end-to-end inventory audits and supplier ordering.
- Working knowledge of pharmacy management systems in addition to Kroll.
- Experience working with diverse, multilingual patient bases.
