The incumbent is responsible for routinely checking all hardware, maintaining perfusion related equipment and disposables stock on an ongoing basis, carrying out blood gas, heparin concentration, activated clotting time and thrombelastograph analysis, as well as quality control and calibration of those analyzers.



The incumbent also acquaints other health care professionals with the perfusionist handling and use of equipment. They initiate, participate in and complete research projects in perfusion related areas.Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.QualificationsEducation: Cardiovascular Perfusion advanced certificateLicenses: Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)Other Education and Training: Cardiovascular Perfusion diploma is acceptable; Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing bodySuccessful completion of certifying exam of Canadian Society of Clinical PerfusionMay be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives#J-18808-Ljbffr
