This position requires the performance of physically demanding tasks, such as repetitive lifting of tools and equipment and, on occasion, raising equipment in excess of 45 kg.Work environment. weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays when required.Must possess and maintain a valid Class G driver’s license.Must obtain pre‑employment medical.You need (essential for the job)Education:A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, experience or traditional knowledge relevant to the position.Experience:Significant experience in the performance of general maintenance tasks related to at least one of the following areas: grounds maintenance and landscaping activities, equipment operation and maintenance, carpentry.Experience:Recent and significant experience in the operation, use and maintenance of hand tools and power equipment (e.G., lawn tractors, mowers, chainsaws, tractors, trailers, backhoes, skid steers, and/or ATVs). Recent experience is defined as gained within the last five years. Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally acquired over at least a two‑year period.Applied / assessed at a later dateKnowledge:Knowledge in the secure use and maintenance of various gas, mixed fuel, and diesel‑fueled equipment and machinery.Knowledge of properly selecting and safely operating a wide range of manual and power tools.Abilities:Ability to perform a variety of general maintenance tasks such as raking trails and pathways, clearing brush, trimming hedges, clearing culverts, loading and unloading supplies, assembling and disassembling tools, equipment and/or structures.Ability to conduct basic inspections, identify required repair and maintenance tasks and approaches,
