Kelly Services' has partnerd with a client in Toronto, ON to recruit for a sick leave coverage of Medical Administrative Assistant
Employment Type: Temporary – Sick Leave Coverage
Duration: Approximately 2–3 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Location: T York Street, ON - near Union station
Start: As soon as possible / urgent requirement
Pay rate: $22/hour + 4% vacation pay
This position provides administrative and service support to the assigned region's clinicians and satellite offices. The successful candidate will interact regularly with clinicians, clients, and internal teams by phone and in person, so strong communication and professional presentation are very important.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional office setting and be organized, detail-oriented, service-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities. They must also demonstrate professionalism and discretion when handling confidential client and clinician information.
Key Responsibilities
Internal Service Delivery – 25%
- Provide administrative support to the Clinical Manager, Clinical Network and SAW EFAP.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure appropriate follow-up on behalf of clinicians.
- Work with the SAW EFAP team on processes and protocols.
- Respond to and help resolve clinician concerns and inquiries.
- Instruct clinicians on Provider Portal procedures and billing submissions.
- Work with Clinical Managers to enhance and maintain the clinical network.
External Service Delivery – 25%
- Work with the recruiter to help ensure the clinical network for the designated region remains current and referrals can be supported in required areas.
- Respond to concerns and inquiries from clinicians.
- Assist clinicians with Provider Portal procedures and billing submissions.
- Provide accurate information regarding Homewood Health products and services to clients and clinicians.
- Orient service providers on Homewood Health protocols and policies.
Administrative Support – 50%
- Track and manage client information, processes, and documentation.
- Record statistical data accurately.
- Provide backup support to the Resource Desk Administrator.
- Provide general support to the administrative team as required.
- Assist with special projects and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
- Distribute client responses to providers in the designated region twice per year.
- Assist with non-client invoices and forward them to Finance on behalf of providers as required.
- Collaborate with the NCP team to respond to specific client file inquiries, including entitlement and appointment usage.
Required Experience & Education
- 1–2 years of experience in a professional office environment.
- Secondary school education required.
- Degree or diploma is considered an asset.
- Post-secondary education or courses in Office Administration, Business Administration or Health Office Administration would be an asset.
- Previous healthcare, clinical, EFAP/EAP, professional services, or similar administrative experience would be beneficial but is not stated as mandatory.
