Become a Cultural Services Knowledge Keeper with Wiikwemkoong Child and Family Services, focusing on delivering essential cultural teachings and ceremonies. Enhance children's services within the community. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to the holistic well-being of families in the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory by embedding Anishnaabe values into child services.
Collaborate with a dedicated team to design and implement culturally fitting wellness programs. Accurate documentation and confidentiality will be core aspects of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Provide culturally tailored services to children and families
Develop Wellness Plans incorporating traditional practices
Facilitate cultural ceremonies for community and staff
Maintain cultural integrity in program delivery
Ensure proper client record-keeping and confidentiality Requirements:
Diploma in Social Services or related field preferred
At least three years of experience in cultural programming
Experience working within First Nations organizations
Skilled in delivering cultural teachings and ceremonies
Proficiency in Anishinaabemowin is a plus This position champions cultural services and community well-being at Wiikwemkoong.
