Join Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ as a First Nation Representative in hitac̓u, BC. Advocate for families while ensuring culturally responsive services and meaningful community connections. This permanent, full time role works under the Director of Health & Social Services.
The focus is on supporting Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and rights are prioritized within external systems. The position emphasizes prevention, cultural preservation, and navigating community resources for families. Key Responsibilities:
Advocate for Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ families in various settings
Ensure families understand their rights under the law
Promote family preservation and cultural practices
Build partnerships with community service providers
Assist with federal registration and citizenship Requirements:
Diploma or degree in Social Work, Indigenous Studies, or equivalent
Proven experience with First Nations families
Comprehensive knowledge of child protection laws
BC Driver's License and reliable vehicle
Clean Criminal Record including Vulnerable Sector Screening Utilize your skills in advocacy, relationship building, and cultural understanding to support Yuułuʔiłʔatḥ families.
