Shape the future of engineering education at the University of Waterloo as a Coordinator for Engineering Support Services. Play a key role in tutoring students and managing educational operations. In this full time temporary position within the Dean of Engineering Office, you will support first-year operations by tutoring in subjects including algebra, calculus, and electromagnetics.
Responsibilities include hiring and mentoring First-Year Tutors, grading student work, and organizing help sessions to ensure students receive the necessary support. Engage in a welcoming setting that promotes equity and inclusion. Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring and support during labs
Manage scheduling and evaluate First-Year Tutors
Develop marking schemes for assignments and exams
Organize help sessions for improved student learning
Proctor exams and maintain records of grades Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
Some teaching experience is an asset
Supervisory experience preferred
Solid background in engineering subjects
