This role is designed for someone who thrives on solving complex, large-scale data management challenges and helping organizations harness the power of cloud computing.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide AWS customers with deep technical expertise and strategic guidance to effectively use AWS Database Services across their businessCollaborate with AWS specialist sales, marketing, and product teams to develop cutting-edge solutions for customers' most challenging business problemsServe as a trusted technical advisor to customers' executives, helping them navigate cloud transformation and digital innovationLead architectural reviews and workshops focused on common use cases and industry best practicesDesign and architect complex database solutions based on relational or non-relational technologiesDevelop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, and support implementation projects for migrating applications from on-premise databases (Oracle/SQL Server) to AWS services such as RDS, Aurora-PostgreSQL/MySQL, and DynamoDBChampion industry best practices through technical thought leadership content including blogs, white papers, and reference architecturesPresent at key industry events including AWS re:Invent, AWS Summit,



and other conferencesProvide feedback to AWS product teams on customer-specific requirements and act as primary point of contact for urgent customer issuesStay current with emerging trends in databases, analytics, and Generative AIBasic Requirements8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.G. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructuresExperience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholdersDeep knowledge and experience with at least one commercial or open source relational database (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL) or non-relational database (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)Preferred Qualifications5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experienceExperience working with end user or developer communitiesExperience in a technical role within a sales organizationExperience architecting/operating solutions built on AWSCompensation Base salary range of $146,000 – $211,600 CAD annually (Toronto).
