This is an in‑office role located in Mississauga.Position OverviewThe Real Estate Law Clerk assists with the day‑to‑day routine and substantive legal and administrative duties of a real‑estate practice, supporting development projects from start to finish and handling residential and commercial real‑estate transactions as needed.ResponsibilitiesHandle the daily administration of condominium and subdivision projects, including intake and processing of new sale agreements, deposit compliance, and correspondence with clients, other lawyers, and the accounting department.Prepare closing packages for interim and final closings in freehold and condominium projects and report post‑closing matters to stakeholders.Independently draft various documents such as closing documents, material agreements, undertakings, title memorandums, correspondence, and reports using Teraview, Unity, and Lawyer Done Deal.Issue default letters to purchasers and respond to amendment and assignment requests.Prioritize and monitor transaction components in a timely manner with minimal lawyer supervision.Communicate effectively by letter, email, and phone with clients, other law firms, and government departments regarding real‑estate and development matters.Prepare, review, and evaluate title searches.Register documents on Teraview, including transfers, easements, discharges, applications, and notices.Draft, process, review,



and register land titles absolute applications, coordinating service of notices.Draft transfers of road widenings and easements to municipalities and utilities.Compile Declarations and related schedules for condominium registration.Draft by‑laws and condominium corporation minute book documents for new and existing condominiums.Prepare statements of adjustments, trust ledgers, and other financial documents, and handle the receipt and disbursement of trust funds in compliance with firm, LawPro, and Law Society of Ontario reporting obligations.Assist with residential and commercial transactions as required.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum of 2–3 years’ experience in real‑estate law at a law firm, in‑house, or similar environment.Law Clerk certification from a recognized college.Undergraduate degree or higher is an asset.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.In‑depth knowledge of real‑estate transaction processes.High level of professionalism with strong oral and written communication skills.High level of confidentiality and discretion.Solid time‑management and ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teraview, Unity, Conveyancer, and Lawyer Done Deal.Advanced knowledge of Unity, Conveyancer, and Lawyer Done Deal.The compensation range for this vacant position is $75,000 – $95,000.Diversity and InclusionAt KMB Law, we believe a diverse workplace is built on individuals with unique backgrounds, characteristics, and qualities.
