The University is looking for a Building Serviceperson I to support the Facilities - Building Maintenance II team.
Your role will encompass general repairs, renovations, and installations throughout campus buildings. Applicants must hold a Red Seal Certification and have five years of relevant carpentry experience, preferably in institutional contexts, to meet diverse maintenance demands. Key Responsibilities:
Perform general repairs and maintenance across university facilities
Install drywall, ceilings, and other structural components
Maintain and fabricate furniture to enhance campus utility
Ensure the proper functioning of doors and windows
Oversee special projects related to building design Requirements:
Must have an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Licensed General Carpenter with qualifications in Ontario
At least five years of carpentry-related experience
Proficient in reading blueprints and writing reports
