OverviewThe Learning Institute for Functional Education( L.I.F.E. ) is hiring for entry to experienced levelBehavior Technicians (BT)in San Joaquin County. L.I.F.E. offers incentives such as attendance bonuses, opportunities to earn gift cards during work hours, and possibilities for career advancement. Applicants are required to become anRBTcertified after being hired. There is a$2 raiseand$250 bonusupon certification. Resources to support certification include a free 40-hour RBT course, free competency assessment, free supervision hours, and ongoing support. The 40-hour course must be completed by day 60 and the exam scheduled by day 90.Pay:$19-$24 per hourdepending on experience, certifications, and education.Summary:L.I.F.E. utilizes applied behavior analysis (ABA) to increase functional skills and decrease maladaptive behaviors in children and adolescents diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). TheBehavior Technicianwill work directly with clients to implement behavior treatment plans overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). In this role, theBehavior Technicianwill travel within the county to work with clients in their homes. During sessions theBehavior Technicianwill run target programs, collect data, and create a fun and positive environment. Our behavior technicians play a critical role in improving the lives of clients and their families. The ideal candidate must be fun, energetic,
and creative.Responsibilities and DutiesWork 1:1 in clients ' homes and community settingsBuild and maintain a good rapport with children and familiesCreate positive social interactions with clients while reinforcing desirable behaviorsImplement an individualized behavioral therapy programFollow set protocol and implement the program/activities developed by the Advanced Behavior Technicians and/or Clinical Supervisors and BCBAsTake accurate data on each activityParticipate in team meetings and staff trainingsMaintain HIPAA compliance at all times, across all settingsHours and AvailabilitySessions are 3 hours long, on averageAfternoon and evening availability is preferred for 3:00pm–8:00pm, Monday–FridayExact schedules will vary based on availability and client needsMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age or olderMust have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalentMust provide a negative TB test and pass a criminal background clearance upon hireMust have reliable transportation, a valid Driver 's License, and active car insurance to travel to clients ’ homesMust be willing to travel to all cities within the countyMust be willing to obtain an RBT certificationMust be able to perform essential work duties such as lifting, squatting, and sitting on the floor for extended periodsPreferredExperience working with or exposure to children and/or adults with disabilities is preferredBA/BS degree in a related fieldWhat L.I.F.E. has to offer employees$150 sign-on bonus for BTs$75 monthly Attendance Bonus for staff who average 15 hours/week$75 Referral bonus$30 monthly cell-phone stipend ($15 per pay period)$25 gift cards based on performance36+ hours of Paid TrainingBiannual merit-based raises during reviewsDrive Time and Mileage reimbursementFlexible work schedulesCareer advancement opportunities and internal growth401k with company match (a 6-month waiting period applies)Health and dental coverage available for full-time staff (waiting period applies)Basic Life Insurance with AD&D available for full time staff (waiting period applies)#J-18808-Ljbffr
