Department: Health, Wellness and SciencesCampus: OrangevilleClassification: Support StaffPosting Date: April 1, 2026Hourly Salary Range: $25.34-$35.83Hours Per Week: up to 24 hours per weekStatus: ContractResponsibilitiesFacilitating student practice and reinforcing applied pre‑learned principles / theory related to nursing skills, procedures and client assessment by organizing and scheduling student learning activities, practice sessions and skill practice demonstrations complete with scenarios, low‑high fidelity simulators, equipment, supplies, etc.Collaborating with faculty to formulate a plan of action, and provide individual coaching to students struggling to demonstrate skill competencyProviding feedback to faculty on observed skills for studentsOrganizing and implementing in‑service training / orientation for students, staff and faculty on the use of equipment in the labsSetting up equipment and supplies in the lab for student practice and other events as required (i.E. Open House, etc.)Ensuring all lab safety standards and standard operating procedures for electronic and other safety requirements (i.E. sharps, etc.) in a health care environment are followedMaintaining and updating resources including computer software, learning tools, posters, manuals, journal articles, resource textbooks, equipment and supplies to ensure materials / equipment are current and in good working orderOrganizing, maintaining, and purchasing supplies as requiredMaintaining accurate student recordsQualificationsMust possess, and maintain, current registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)Must have successfully completed a BScN or Practical Nursing ProgramFive years of experience as an RN or RPN with current medical‑surgical hands‑on skill set and technologyExperience training and demonstrating skills to othersExperience with ordering supplies, inventory management, and tracking systemsDemonstrated knowledge of health and safety rules and regulations in a health care environmentComputer skills and experience using the MS Office SuiteInterpersonal and communication (oral & written) skillsMust be self‑directed with the ability to work independently and as a team memberProven analytical, critical thinking, decision making, and problem‑solving skillsDemonstrated planning, coordinating and time management skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityCourses in Teaching and Training Adults would be an assetExperience with high fidelity simulators would be an assetEEO StatementGeorgian College supports diversity, equity and a workplace free from harassment and discrimination and is committed to an inclusive, barrier‑free setting.
