Works division is searching for a dedicated Auto Service Technician to fill a permanent role. Applicants with current CUPE 12.1 membership are preferred. This role encompasses diagnosing mechanical failures and ensuring vehicle safety through inspections and maintenance. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair municipal fleet vehicles and equipment
Perform inspections per Ministry of Transportation standards
Check and document completed work to maintain operational standards
Utilize manuals and specifications for repair processes
Maintain workplace cleanliness and tool accountability Requirements:
Preferred: 310T (Truck and Coach) license
5 years of experience as a 310T technician required
Skilled in diagnostic equipment and schematic interpretation
Proficient in welding techniques
