We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Guelph team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through efficient shipping and receiving, inventory staging for production staff, and performing preventative maintenance tasks as needed. This role also contributes to the production team by executing work orders in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all outputs meet the company's quality and performance standards
Key Responsibilities:
Production Support:
- Interpret work orders and follow verbal or written instructions to complete assigned tasks.
- Review drawings and customer specifications to determine appropriate procedures.
- Complete assigned work orders on schedule and in accordance with established labour time standards.
- Perform product finishing as specified in the work order.
- Adhere to all quality assurance procedures, including in-process and final inspections; maintain related QA documentation.
- Transport completed products to the shipping department for packaging.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of machines and work areas.
- Provide input to supervisors on potential improvements within the production area.
- Participate in safety committee activities as required.
Warehouse Operations:
- Support shipping and receiving functions, including unloading/loading trucks and verifying shipment contents.
- Assist with checking, picking, and staging inventory for production use.
- Perform inventory counts and report discrepancies as necessary.
General Duties:
- Execute other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Shop Lead or Foreman.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Comply with all A.R. Thomson Engineered Solutions Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions or practices to the Supervisor.
- Report all incidents, including near-misses, injuries, and equipment damage, without delay and complete any required documentation.
- Take all reasonable precautions to ensure personal safety and the safety of others in the work workplace.
Qualifications / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience in a similar production or warehouse environment is an asset.
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of tools and machinery.
- Physically capable of performing manual tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
