The BC SPCA seeks a dedicated individual for a part time Animal Care Specialist position, working 32 hours from Wednesday to Saturday.

You will specialize in farm animal care within the Nanaimo Community Animal Centre, ensuring optimal welfare through effective communication and teamwork. This role requires you to assist with both farm and companion animals as needed. Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily feeding and cleaning for farm animals
Administer medications as directed by veterinarians




Track inventory for animal supplies regularly
Support adoptions and maintain animal welfare records
Collaborate with other staff to enhance animal health Requirements:
High School Diploma and 2 years’ farm animal experience
Valid BC Driver’s License and clean driving record
Knowledge of animal welfare and health standards
Robust communication skills with diverse stakeholders
