Job Summary
We are seeking a agile and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and managing purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of quality products. Your expertise in ERP systems and supply chain management will drive cost-effective procurement processes that support our production and safety objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers and secure competitive pricing for materials and components.
- Manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supplier contracts within ERP systems
- Coordinate with inventory management and production planning teams to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Conduct negotiations with vendors to optimize pricing, delivery terms, and quality standards while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supply chain activities including logistics, inventory control,
and procurement schedules to prevent disruptions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations throughout the procurement cycle.
Experience
- Proven experience in purchasing or procurement within manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems
- Familiarity with materials management, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms with suppliers.
- Ability to analyze data related to pricing, contracts, and supplier performance to make informed decisions.
- Experience working with e-commerce platforms or online sourcing tools is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
