Location: Westshore Office

Position Type: Full-Time Contract 25-30 client hours per week

Client Population: Ages 3+, including parent support

We’re seeking a warm, skilled, and collaborative Registered Clinical Counsellor or Registered Social Worker to join our team on a temporary basis to cover a maternity leave. This role involves working with individuals ages 3 and up, with a focus on expressive arts therapist, trauma-informed, neuroaffirming care. MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE BCACC or BCCSW. We are also looking for therapists who prefer to work with ages 12 and up only.

Must-Haves:

- Registration in positive standing as an RCC or RSW (or equivalent designation).
- Experience and a neuroaffirming approach when working with individuals aged 3+ who are neurodivergent (including ADHD, ASD, highly sensitive individuals) or ages 12 and up.
- A strong queer-affirming stance and commitment to inclusive practice.
- Clinical training and experience in supporting clients with trauma — the more complex, the better.
- Competence in supporting anxiety, depression, suicidality, and self-harm in youth and young adults.
- Strengths-based,



client-centered approach with therapeutic modalities beyond CBT — including (but not limited to) ACT, DBT, EFFT, Play Therapy, Art Therapy.
- Deep understanding of attachment, nervous system regulation, and trauma responses.

Nice to Have (Bonus):

- Experience supporting clients who experience dissociation.
- Training and experience in working with adults (in addition to adolescents).
- EMDR training through EMDRIA (though not required — clients needing EMDR can be referred out if needed).
