Job description:

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and qualified Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests at The Powder Room on Yorkville — a curated nightlife destination where high fashion, luxury mixology, and the energy of Toronto’s elite social scene come together.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has solid communication skills, and is passionate about hospitality. This position is being posted to fill an existing vacancy.

Key Responsibilities
Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently
Escorting guests to their tables and providing menus
Maintaining an organized seating chart and coordinating with servers
Answering phone calls, managing reservations, and responding to guest inquiries
Ensuring the entrance and host stand are clean, organized, and presentable
Assisting with guest flow to maintain a smooth dining experience
Handling guest concerns with professionalism and escalating when necessary
Performing other duties as assigned by management to support daily operations and team success

Qualifications




Previous hosting or customer service experience is an asset
Robust interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized under pressure
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Must be legally able to work in Canada
