Position OverviewThe Health System Planning Specialist will be responsible for supporting major strategic planning, operational planning, development of business cases, and management of MWT‑OHT‑wide projects. The successful candidate will own quarterly business plan reporting process, be a key driver of the strategic and operational planning processes, and manage the successful delivery of key strategic projects and initiatives. They will do so by drawing on strong business analytics, health system knowledge and problem‑solving skills combined with leadership, creativity and interpersonal skills.Temporary full-time: 10 month contractCompensation: $71,370.00 – $85,644.00 commensurate with experience.ResponsibilitiesProvide Secretariat support to 2+ MWT‑OHT Planning Committees or Working Groups (e.G., Mental Health & Substance Use, Quality and Evaluation, Prevention/Education/Navigation), including agenda preparation, minutes, follow‑up actions and work‑plan tracking.Project‑manage the outputs of the Case Management Redesign Task Force under the Mental Health & Substance Use Planning Committee, tracking deliverables from concept through execution.Use effective formal and informal communication methods to ensure all stakeholders are brought along in the project lifecycle.Lead end‑to‑end preparation for MWT‑OHT meetings such as the Executive Advisory Committee and All Partner meetings, including agenda development, briefing notes, chair notes, deck creation and package compilation.Coordinate approval processes through formal governance structures and decision‑making pathways.Prepare and support meeting speakers, including gathering and synthesizing key messages and ensuring alignment with chair and governance expectations.Support the Manager, Health System Planning, in developing and overseeing the annual business plan,



coordinating inputs from committees and ensuring progression through Executive Advisory Committee governance and All Partner approvals.Manage business plan performance monitoring, including updates to the KPI dashboard and quarterly reporting to the Executive Advisory Committee.Manage weekly Secretariat meetings, including agenda setting, meeting minutes and tracking of action items from the Executive Advisory Committee and All Partner meetings.Maintain and manage the annual calendar of major system deliverables, including funding agreement milestones, Executive Advisory Committee and All Partner meetings and OHT‑wide events.Coordinate the development of funding reports and written deliverables, managing timelines, inputs and accountabilities across internal team and external partners as required.Liaise with funders, OH and MOH, to understand system context and direction to strategically position the MWT‑OHT.Collaborate with fellow OHTs to advance regional and system‑level work.Manage the MWT‑OHT contact lists.Work alongside team members and community health system partners to develop innovative solutions to system challenges.Support the development of funding proposals and business cases for new or expanded service offerings.Prepare data packages/products to support MWT‑OHT workstreams.Project‑manage with an equity lens and embed elements of co‑design, either with patients, caregivers, volunteers and/or providers from initiative creation to implementation.Support budget updates and financial reports for key audiences, including project team, Secretariat, Executive Advisory Committee, All Partner Table and funders.QualificationsRequired Skills and AbilitiesAbility to develop compelling,



succinct briefing notes and decks for information sharing with key partners.Ability to communicate effectively with Executive‑level OHT members; lead and facilitate discussions among partners and team members with competing interests.Ability to complete time‑sensitive deliverables involving multiple stakeholders with complex subject matter, and report on risks and mitigation strategies.Ability to identify and connect with subject matter experts to validate solutions and plans.Ability to navigate conflict.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and keep projects on timeline.Ability to recognize risk and develop mitigation strategies.Required Knowledge and Experience3+ years’ experience in the healthcare industry.Demonstrated project management expertise.Solid understanding of business intelligence data analytics and financial analysis.Detail‑oriented with excellent time‑management and organizational skills.Ability to multi‑task and manage numerous concurrent projects.Excellent communication skills, dynamic, team player.Familiarity with MS Office Suite or equivalent; comfortable understanding and presenting data.Required Skilled Designation/CertificationPost‑graduate degree, preferably in Health Administration or Business Administration.Equal Opportunity Employer StatementKensington Health Centre is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applicants from equity‑seeking groups.
