Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)Alora Wellness | Virtual | British ColumbiaAbout Alora WellnessAlora Wellness is a British Columbia-based virtual counselling practice built around a simple belief: therapy should do more than provide a place to talk.

We believe meaningful counselling helps clients understand their patterns, develop new skills, make different choices, improve their relationships, and create lasting change.

Our practice supports individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, separation and divorce, grief, self-worth, boundaries, attachment patterns, women's mental health, health-related emotional challenges, and major life transitions.

Our clinical approach is warm, relational, collaborative, and evidence-informed — but we are equally committed to being practical, intentional, and change-oriented.

We are building Alora Wellness into a respected clinical practice known not only for compassionate care, but for helping clients make meaningful progress.

The Clinician We're Looking ForWe are looking for a Registered Clinical Counsellor who genuinely believes therapy should lead somewhere.

Someone who can sit with a client and create space for their experience, while also helping them understand why they are stuck, what keeps the pattern going, and what needs to change.

You should be comfortable moving beyond simply listening and validating.

We are looking for clinicians who can help clients:

- Develop insight into their emotional and relational patterns
- Identify the thoughts, behaviours, beliefs, and dynamics maintaining their difficulties
- Translate insight into practical changes outside the therapy room
- Develop healthier communication and relationship patterns
- Build emotional regulation and coping skills
- Establish and maintain effective boundaries
- Challenge unhelpful patterns with compassion and clinical judgment
- Work toward clearly defined therapeutic goals
- Recognize and build upon progress throughout treatment
- Leave therapy with tools and understanding they can continue using independently

We value therapists who are warm without being passive, compassionate without avoiding difficult conversations, and clinically thoughtful without becoming overly rigid. What Your Clinical Work Will Look LikeYou will provide individual and/or couples counselling virtually to clients throughout British Columbia.

Depending on your clinical scope and specialization, clients may present with:

- Anxiety and depression
- Relationship difficulties and recurring conflict
- Couples concerns
- Separation and divorce
- Attachment and relational patterns
- Boundaries and interpersonal difficulties
- Self-worth and identity
- Stress and emotional regulation
- Grief and loss
- Women's mental health
- Fertility and reproductive mental health
- Life transitions
- Family dynamics
- Other concerns within your clinical scope

You will be expected to conduct thoughtful clinical assessment,

develop collaborative treatment goals, select appropriate interventions, and regularly evaluate whether the work is helping the client move toward those goals. We don't expect every client to improve in exactly the same way or on the same timeline. We do expect clinicians to remain intentional about the therapeutic direction and to continually ask:

What is keeping this client stuck?

What needs to be different?

What intervention is most likely to help?

Is the client actually making progress?

The Alora Clinical PhilosophyAt Alora, we believe the therapeutic relationship is foundational — but rapport alone isn't the treatment.

We value therapists who can combine:

Connection + Clinical Skill

Insight + Action

Compassion + Accountability

Validation + Appropriate Challenge

Reflection + Practical Change

We want clients to feel genuinely understood while also leaving therapy with greater clarity, stronger skills, and meaningful movement toward their goals.

Our clinicians are encouraged to bring their own therapeutic orientation and clinical identity. We are not looking for everyone to practice identically.

What matters is that your work is ethical, evidence-informed, intentional, individualized, and oriented toward meaningful therapeutic outcomes.

Who Will Thrive at AloraYou may be an excellent fit if you are the kind of clinician who leaves a session thinking:

“What did we actually accomplish today?”

You notice patterns.

You formulate.

You don't rush to give advice, but you also don't remain stuck in endless exploration.

You know when a client needs validation and when they may benefit from gentle challenge.

You can move from insight → intervention → practice → progress.

You care deeply about the therapeutic relationship, but you also care about whether the therapy is working.

You are curious, reflective, clinically grounded, and committed to continuing to develop your practice.

Most importantly, you genuinely want your clients to experience meaningful change, not simply temporary relief.

Why Alora? We're not looking to simply fill a contractor position.

We're building a clinical practice.

Alora Wellness was founded with the vision of creating a practice where clients receive exceptional, individualized care and clinicians are supported in doing thoughtful, meaningful work.

As Alora grows, our goal is to build a team of clinicians whose individual strengths and specialties allow us to serve clients across BC while maintaining a consistently high standard of care.

If you want to practice in an environment where clinical depth, therapeutic skill, meaningful outcomes, and genuine human connection all matter, we'd love to hear from you.
