JOB TITLE:Managing Producer, Temporary Contract for the Canadian National Stilt Symposium – Sep 24-27, 2026Location:Calgary, AB (in-person festival operations required)Employment Type:Temporary Contract with seasonal intensityOverviewThree Left Feet is the Executive Producer for the Canadian National Stilt Symposium 2026. CNSS will be held in Calgary from Sep 24-27, 2026. Venues are spread out throughout the Greater Downtown Area with the main gathering venue at the Knox United Church.About Three Left FeetThree Left Feet is a federally registered charitable organization that encourages, fosters, and develops positive awareness of dance. Its goal is to create broad-based public awareness of dance as a viable art form using a myriad of styles.Position SnapshotPosition Title:Managing ProducerReports To:Artistic Director for Three Left FeetEmployment Type:Temporary Contract with seasonal intensity (see Compensation & Term)Role SummaryThe Managing Producer is a highly collaborative role within a small but mighty team for planning and delivery of the annual CNSS and related programs. The role oversees production and logistics, team cohesion, volunteer management, budgeting, marketing, and communications, ensuring the festival’s success.Festival Production & LogisticsIn collaboration with the Artistic Director, plan, budget, schedule, and deliver the CNSS in September and serve as the point‑person for artists, technicians, and venues before, during, and after the event.Coordinate venues, artists, suppliers, partners; oversee the technical schedule, obtain outdoor performance permits, arrange artist travel/accommodations, and implement accessibility measures.Co‑create and nurture partnerships with primary stakeholders such as Knox United Church, City of Calgary, Tourism Calgary, CORE shopping, Platform Calgary, and Downtown Calgary.Ensure all timelines are met for artist agreements and required artist information (bios, photos,



etc.).Manage on‑site festival operations: box office, POS, floats, merchandise inventory, attendance tracking, and issue de‑escalation.Financial Management & Festival‑End AdministrationMonitor cash flow, track expenses and revenues, and maintain familiarity with Excel.Team Cohesion and Volunteer StrategySupervise seasonal contractors (e.G., Volunteer Coordinator, Social Media Personnel, Assistant Producer) and manage work‑back schedules.Oversee the volunteer program: outreach, orientation, training, scheduling (including drivers), and appreciation events.Marketing and CommunicationsLead campaign planning and launches (festival lineup, evening performances, early‑bird tickets) and manage program guide production and ticketing pages.Oversee website, newsletter, and social media; monitor sales andadjust marketing in concert with the team.Ensure event listings on free community posting sites and manage direct invitations to partners and community stakeholders.Qualifications & AttributesProven success in festival or event production and project management with strong planning and deadline discipline.Granting and reporting skills or demonstrated aptitude to learn quickly.Clear, skilled communication.Experience supervising staff/contractors and coordinating volunteers; comfortable representing the organization publicly with media, stakeholders, artists, technicians, and the general public.ConflictsPerformance during the 2 weeks prior to and including the weekend of the Canadian National Stilt Symposium (September 19 through October 4, 2026).Compensation & TermSeasonally structured compensation:$1,200 per week (equivalent to 1.0 FTE – in‑person activities) for 6 weeks (August 17 – September 27).$600 per week (equivalent to 0.5 FTE – in‑person activities) for 1 week (September 28 – October 2).$600 per month (approx. 20 hours/month – hybrid activities) for 2 months (starting around June 15).Job Category:ManagementJob Type:Seasonal – Full Time, Part Time#J-18808-Ljbffr
