FACILITY ACCESS CONTROL SUPERVISORAre you passionate about Safety & Security and seeking an opportunity to join ASP’s Commercial Security Team?A.S.P. We provide services including security, customer service, K9 detection, concierge, and baggage handling to a wide range of clients such as residential properties, commercial facilities, retail spaces, as well as some of the largest airports in Canada.ASP is looking for Outdoor Facility Access Control Guards for an event and concert space in uptown Toronto on a 24/7 basis. Candidates must possess previous security experience and be able to provide highly visible service in a professional, competent, and courteous manner, whilst exercising excellent communication and customer service skills. Working with integrity and awareness, the Facility Access Control Guard takes responsibility for securing and protecting our client's property and ensuring only authorized access to the site.What you will do:Vehicle and pedestrian Access control at multiple gates and entry points to the propertyWork outdoors in all weather conditions, at times there may be no shelter in placeOperate a site vehicle or golf cart for conducting property patrolsResponsible for your shift team’s daily operations 4-25 guards at a timeDelivery gate assignments for your team,
brake rotations and managing the daily operations scheduleAdmin tasks such as updating scheduling sheets and submitting them in a timely mannerReport writing and reviewing guards' reports for accuracyUse of company cell phone for reportsConducting locks and unlocks of doors, gates, and fencesFoot patrols on site on an ongoing hourly basis, up to 10 000 stepsConduct site training of new team membersWork in compliance with OHSA, AODA, CCC, and PSISA regulations, etcBe responsible for keys and other equipment such as cellphones and radios, tracking and logging during shift changesCollaborate with event staff, other security organizations, and dispatch personnelPerform other relevant functions as requiredProvide oversight and leadership of the site security guards and team leadSupervise the completion of all required security tasksProvide coaching and discipline if necessaryEmergency response if required, serving as the point of direction for the site teamAudit reports, patrols, and equipment log for completeness and accuracyCollaborate closely with ASP management and the site clientsProvide protection from theft, vandalism, and trespassingPhysically monitor and patrol the outdoor property and landEngage in professional, collaborative, and proactive security servicesInvestigate, report, and respond to any incidents as requiredAssist in emergency situations such as evacuations and medical incidentsWorking Environment:This is an outdoor position with some guard houses located at a few access pointsWorking in all elements of the whether including rain, high winds,
