Ben Gilbert Roofing & Exterior is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and safety-minded Roofing Labourer to join our growing team.

As a Roofing Labourer, you will work alongside our Roofing Shingler’s, Lead Hands, and Managers to help install, repair, and maintain roofing and exterior systems. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well with others, and is comfortable working outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities

Yard & Equipment

- Keep company vehicles, trailers, tools, and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
- Report damaged, lost, or stolen tools and equipment to the Lead Roofing Hand.
- Properly tag broken or unsafe equipment.
- Help maintain an organized and efficient yard.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company values.

On the Jobsite

- Follow direction from the Roofing Shingler, Lead Hand, and Manager.
- Operate pneumatic tools, pumps, hand tools, and other roofing equipment.
- Remove old or damaged roofing materials and debris as required.
- Install roofing and exterior materials according to manufacturer specifications.
- Assist with insulation systems, vapour barriers, fascia, soffit, and other exterior components.
- Follow construction plans and project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized jobsite.




- Ensure completed work meets Ben Gilbert Roofing & Exterior's standards of quality and excellence.
- Maintain a skilled and positive image when dealing with customers, subcontractors, and team members.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, especially Health & Safety requirements.

Requirements

- Previous roofing or construction experience is an asset.
- Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
- Current Working at Heights certification.
- Current Fall Arrest certification.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including heavy lifting of 100+ lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required during busy periods.
