The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.About the RoleWe are looking to recruit an Underwriter with experience to grow our SME Book, in Toronto, your key responsibilities will be to develop new and renewal business that is received by the Team in Toronto.What You’ll DoP&C; UnderwritingUnderwrite new business as presented by a broker’s officeAchieve assigned monthly sales goalsMaintain the existing renewal bookUnderwrite and negotiate renewalEnsure Customer Service Standards are consistently metPortfolio ManagementMonitor each key Broker’s results semi-annuallyMonitor Underlying Portfolio results and adjust accordinglyReport directly to Senior managementWhat You BringExperience at an MGA would be preferredRIBO/CIP/FCIP designation or in progress, would be considered an assetExperience with General Liability and Construction would be considered an assetPost-graduate degree or certificationDeveloped knowledge and applied experience in the application of industry legislation and regulations; knowledge of industry objectives,
