Vacancy StatusNew RoleRoleAs the Specialist, Information & Operation Technology, you will ensure reliable, efficient, and secure operation of building technologies while providing Level 1 and Level 2 user support for operational systems and related infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control networks (e.G., BACnet, Modbus)Provide technical support for security camera systems & video management, access control, intercom, and other building security systemsManage OT-related network infrastructure including VLAN segmentation, PoE switching, structured cabling, Wi‑Fi, and remote connectivityTroubleshoot hardware, system, and network issues across multiple propertiesProvide Level 1 intake, triage, and resolution of OT‑related incidents and service requestsEscalate and manage Level 2 technical issues involving connectivity, configuration, and hardware troubleshootingSupport property management and facilities teams with system access, account management, and basic end‑user trainingDocument incidents and resolutions while coordinating with Level 3 resources and vendors as requiredAssist with onboarding, commissioning, and integration of new building technologiesApply corporate security standards including secure remote access, segmentation, and patch/firmware lifecycle practicesCoordinate vendors and telecom carriers for installations, maintenance, and escalationsMaintain documentation including network diagrams, system inventories, and technical proceduresParticipate in incident response activities related to building technology systemsContribute to service improvement initiatives through documentation, standardization, and process refinementRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience4–8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, networking, operational technology,



or building systems supportExperience providing Level 1 and Level 2 technical support in a multi‑site environmentStrong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switchingUnderstanding of IT/OT security principles including least privilege, network segmentation, and secure remote accessExperience supporting building automation, access control, or IP‑based security systemsExperience coordinating telecom providers and third‑party vendorsStrong communication skills and ability to support non‑technical stakeholdersBilingualism (English/French) is considered an assetAbility to travel to properties within the portfolio as requiredValid G Class driver’s license (or ability to travel independently between sites)Ability to lift and move equipment (up to approximately 50 lbs.)Comfortable working at heights and on ladders as requiredAbility to perform hands‑on installation and troubleshooting in mechanical, electrical, and equipment room environmentsOccasional after‑hours workCompensationAt Primaris, we believe in rewarding talent with competitive wages and total compensation package.
