At CI, we see a great place to work as one that is a safe place for everyone to have a voice, where people are empowered to take ownership over meaningful work, where there is an opportunity to grow through stretching themselves, where they can work on innovative products and projects, and where employees are supported and engaged in doing so.The primary objectives of this position are to support the preparation of financial statements, regulatory reports and other financial reports, maintain accurate and timely accounting records, and prepare reconciliations and analysis of financial accounts.What You Will DoPreparation of daily/monthly bank reconciliationsPreparation and validation of journal entries and transactions for day-to-day finance activitiesPrepare working papers to support monthly financial statements, including month-end accrualsReconcile and analyze accounts to identify drivers of financial resultsCompile the supporting schedules for sales tax returnsAssistance with monthly/quarterly/annual reporting packages and reconciliationsAssistance in the preparation of working papers for internal, external and regulatory auditsWork with senior members to implement process improvements as identifiedPerform other related financial analysis duties as requiredWhat You Will BringMinimum two years of financial reporting experience requiredInvestment industry experience is an assetExperience in coordinating external/regulatory audits is an assetEducationPost-secondary education in Accounting or FinanceActive enrolment in CPA program is an assetKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong understanding of accounting concepts and practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced workplace to meet strict deadlinesAbility to work independently with minimal supervision/directionDetailed-oriented,



self-motivated and a good team playerStrong analytical, organizational, planning and problem-solving skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlinesGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact effectively with management, other employees and third partiesExperience with accounting and reporting softwareOvertime required during specific times of the monthThis opportunity is for an existing vacancy with the company. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $71,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a bonus program.
