The number of positions to be filled has not been identified at this time.Role ResponsibilitiesThe Court and Justice Services Division is seeking motivated, hardworking, and reliable individuals to join their team as Officers of the Court. Success in this role requires Kod. Integrity, thrive in fast‑paced environment and passion for helping Albertans navigate the court system:Managing administrative processes in civil and criminal court proceedingsMaintaining court records and decorum, operating the digital recording systemHandling exhibits, liaising with judiciary, lawyers, police and the publicFiling documents in line with Alberta Rules of Court and relevant statutesAssisting the public and legal community both in‑person and over the phonePerforming data entry, court order processing, and general office dutiesActing as a non‑presiding Justice of the Peace, conducting bail releasesPerforming Commissioner of Oaths duties after passing a required testManaging databases and facilitating appearances,



both in‑person and onlineThis competition will also be used to fill positions in the Provincial Hearing Office (PHO). The PHO operates 365 days per year in Edmonton and Calgary, includes days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts are scheduled on a six‑day‑on, three‑day‑off rotation and may include any combination of the following shifts: 3 days, 3 nights, and 3 days off. Candidates interested in the PHO must be available for all shifts.Travel to circuit court locations is a requirement of this role in regional locations. This may require travel in inclement weather.
