Senior Electrical Engineer Biotech / Medical Devices | Full-Time | Onsite A growing biotech company is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer to help design the electronics behind next-generation medical devices. You'll work across power electronics, embedded systems, and safety-critical architecture, with real ownership from concept through compliance.
What You'll Do - Own full lifecycle design of mixed power, embedded computing, and interconnect PCAs - Lead and participate in design reviews (safety, reliability, failure analysis) - Architect systems for medical safety and compliance per IEC 60601-1 - Design power distribution, current limiting, regulation, fusing, and FET selection - Coordinate with firmware teams on electrical system implementation - Test designs at the PCA and system level, document results and architectural decisions - Mentor engineers across experience levels and collaborate cross-functionally What You'll Need - Bachelor's + 10 years, Master's + 8 years,
or equivalent experience in electrical engineering - Proficiency in Altium Designer (or similar) for schematic capture and PCB layout - Strong background in power integrity, signal integrity, fault tolerance, and EMC - Experience with embedded systems, sensors, serial communication, analog/digital design - Track record bringing hardware to market, including compliance testing - Comfortable with DMM, oscilloscope, function generator, DC power supply - Familiarity with Valuable Documentation Practices (GDP) Nice to Have - Background in optics, robotics, or medical devices - Experience with rigid/flex PCA systems and dynamic cabling (clock spring, FFCs, slip rings) - Brushless DC motor system architecture - Expertise in fail-safe design and isolation diagrams Compensation & Location $140,000 to $170,000 annually, based on experience.
